The Client

The PlayStation brand was first introduced on December 3, 1994 in Japan with the launch of the original PlayStation console.

Since then Sony have released three more consoles with the latest iteration being the PS4 which sold one million units in its first 24 hours on sale making it the fastest selling console of all time.

What We Did

Sony Computer Entertainment approached us looking for the highest impact position in the student market, to advertise the PlayStation 4.

We offered them the Inside Front Cover within The Student Guide and provided clickable links in all digital editions where readers were able to click through and purchase games and consoles.

 Why It Rocked

Using the most prominent positioning within the Student Guide BA were able to push console sales at a critical time before Christmas.

Promotion of Drive Club in the Student Guide helped the game reach 2 million copies sold, becoming one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 video games.

Sony wanted to something to offer to all student demographics so alongside Drive Club, Sing Star Ultimate Party was also advertised, with 16 million total sales.
