The Client

Havaianas is a Brazilian brand of flip-flop created by Scotsman Robert Fraser in 1962. Inspired by Japanese zōri sandals, Fraser became the first to mass-produce flip-flops out of rubber. The name Havaianas is derived from the feminine form of the Portuguese word for “Hawaiians”

What We Did

Havaianas have been synonymous with young adults since the early 90’s and to maintain their position as the world’s leading flip flop brand, Havaianas approached The Festival Guide® to increase awareness and associate themselves with the UK’s most trusted global festival directory among young adults and students.

They created some awesome artwork:

Of course, in true Brazilian fashion Havaianas decided on the boldest, most prevalent position to advertise within the entire publication, the inside front cover, consisting of a four page gate fold.

Why It Rocked!

Havaianas got to show off some awesome festival designs created specifically to UK young adults.

As well as their classic flip-flops Havaianas got to expose their new range of espadrilles
