Can everyone just be quiet today? Please! Construction workers across the street, Radio 1 in the background… it’s so noisy here at BA today!
Yes, I know. We’re quite touchy today. That’s because we had our amazing Christmas staff party last night and we’re all nursing the biggest hangover of our lives.
It seems that every time we update this blog, there’s another party happening at BA. We should really pace ourselves. Unlike the guides that get a shiny new cover each year – all we do is get older and more wrinkly (and while we used to be able to party the night away in our uni days – now we’re thoroughly hungover after 3 ciders at TGI Friday’s!)
Of course, you didn’t come here to hear us complain – you want pictures and videos of the night don’t you?…
We started at 12:30 in the afternoon (yes… really.) with a few beverages before we were off to have a lovely three course meal thanks to our friends at TGI Friday’s.
We headed off to TGI’s with the full intention of being good and laying off the alcohol until it was at least a bit darker outside. However, upon our arrival at TGI’s we were welcomed with lovely, big, potent cocktails.
We then started chowing down on our three course meal. Which, in hindsight, was way too much for 1 in the afternoon.
The food tamed us all and we progressively got into a more jolly spirit. (Don’t let John’s face fool you – he was having a blast. We’ve just caught him in between smiles.)
Besides Christmas, we had another celebration. Rob, who has been with the company for 5 years, finally turned 21. (Or at least – that’s what Rob claims) so of course – we had to publicly shame him in front of his colleagues and a restaurant filled with people.
After the TGI meal (and quite a few more cocktails) we went back to the office to play some pool, some table tennis, listened to some music and relaxed with some Cards against Humanity.
After the night dwindled down – there was just one lonely ranger left. Ryan… drunkenly trying to figure out how to work the Karaoke machine with his phone.
Good try, Ryan. Good try. Get some sleep.
All in all, another fantastic Christmas party. We will see you all in the next year.
May 2017 be as awesome as 2016 has been!
