Big changes for British American Media..

March has been an exciting time for us at BA Media. Both Editorial and Design have seen changes in personnel. A new editor, two assistant editors and a new designer have joined the BA Media family.

BA Media has welcomed Luke Martin to the position of editor.

Luke joins us from the University of Sheffield where he graduated with an MA in Journalism. Luke was a recipient of the Scott Trust Bursary from the Guardian Media Group. The bursary is a much sought after prize and enabled Luke to study for the MA. The prize also included work at the Guardian in which time Luke interviewed the 2012 London Mayoral candidates and shared a tube journey with Ed Miliband. Luke is a published journalist within student media and a contributor to the Guardian’s Northerner Blog.

“This is a very exciting time to have the opportunity to join BA Media and as a team we will work to make the BA Media publications the most recognisable student media brand in the UK.”

Along with Luke, BA Media has also welcomed two assistant editors, Amelia Pearson and Gemma Cullen. Both are experienced student journalists who are bursting with ideas to make BA Media’s websites and Guides better than ever. The Design team is delighted to have Sian McGivern on board. She is a fantastic graphic designer with an impressive portfolio of work who can’t wait to share her ideas with the team.
